It's a small local run restaurant run by humans. Don't come here if you can't respect the staff! The food and flavors are authentic to Singapore and Malaysia, and they use quality and imported ingredients. I would love it if some of the food came with more sauce as the rice portions are really generous!

I've been wanting to try KMP for months, and I finally got the opportunity. I heard KMP was largely self-serve restaurant, but they're claiming that they're transforming into a full service restaurant. We still had to order our foods at the cashier, grab our utensils and fill our water, but the servers were attentive to our needs and checked our table constantly. Firstly, Milo Dinosaur is an amazing drink, filled to the brim with chocolate powdery goodness. The carrot cake and char koey teow were great, with the right amount of charred flavour that came from high heat of cooking method. The roti prata came with a plate of curry chicken, a true comfort food for those who have great memory of eating the dish in Singapore hawker centres. Finally, I've never been a fan of lakes (due to the mess it tends to leave on my white shirt), but if it were cold outside, I'd order KMP laksa and bear the laundry cost. If you are familiar with Singaporean culture, you'd find fun references all over the restaurant, like how to order tea like a Singaporean, and other fun reads. It'll either be a fun experience, or a walk through the memory lane.

Was my first time trying Singaporean food and I absolutely loved it! Will definitely come back. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable. It is a self-serve restaurant, so you order and pay at the counter and then pick it up when it’s ready. And that was very fast.

One word review - FANTASTIC! This was my first time trying Singaporean food and boy was I not ready for it. I loved everything my friends and I tried - Beef Rendang, Chicken curry with Roti, Kueh Salat (Steamed Pandan), Savoury Carrot Cake (my absolute favourite) and Chicken Satay. Great ambience, great vibes, great food! 11/10 will try again! Note - They accept only debit or cash and it’s self serve.

We are 2 Singaporeans who brought friends from Toronto here to try food from home and everybody loved it! No cutting corners on the spices, super easy to place the preorder for crab - and frankly, one of the best black carrot cake we’ve had (thank you for all the radish!!!). STB should sponsor you guys because you’ve inspired a couple more people from this part of the world to make the trip
